Pakistan Street Football Team Dominates in Norway Cup 2024 Opener

The Pakistan street football team launched their Norway Cup 2024 campaign with a commanding 6-1 victory over Astor Footballklubb on Sunday. Demonstrating remarkable skill and teamwork, the Pakistani squad secured a decisive win to mark a strong start in the tournament.

Key players shone in this match, with Abdul Ghani scoring twice and contributions from Mohammad Essa, Mohammad Junaid, Owais Ahmed, and Mohammad Khan each netting a goal. This collective effort ensured a substantial win for the Green Shirts.

Following their runner-up finish in the previous edition, the Pakistani team is determined to claim the title this year. Their next challenges include matches against Vardeneset BK on Monday and Oystese IL Oystese/Norheimsund on Tuesday.

Additionally, the team has a history of strong performances in international street football. They were the runners-up in the 2022 Street Child World Cup in Doha, Qatar, and finished second in the 2018 edition in Russia. In the 2014 tournament in Brazil, they secured third place.

The team’s current form and past achievements underscore their potential to go all the way in Norway Cup 2024.
