Shahnawaz Dahani to Miss Pakistan Shaheens’ Darwin Tour Due to Back Injury

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani will miss the remainder of the Pakistan Shaheens’ tour in Darwin due to a back injury. Dahani, who had a notable performance by taking four wickets in the first four-day match against Bangladesh ‘A’, has been ruled out of the upcoming matches, including the second four-dayer against Bangladesh ‘A’ starting on Friday and the white-ball leg of the tour.

The 25-year-old fast bowler will return to Pakistan immediately, where he will undergo an assessment by the medical panel before commencing his rehabilitation process. This injury is a setback for Dahani, who has been a promising talent in Pakistan’s fast-bowling lineup.

In response to Dahani’s unavailability, the PCB has included spin-bowling all-rounder Mubasir Khan in the white-ball squad as a replacement. Additionally, Khurram Shahzad, who was initially scheduled to return after the conclusion of the two four-day matches against Bangladesh ‘A’, will now stay on for the two one-day matches against Northern Territory Strike and Bangladesh ‘A’ on August 4 and 6, respectively.
