Hasan Ali’s Elbow Injury Puts Bangladesh Test Series in Doubt

Pakistan’s medium pacer Hasan Ali is facing an uncertain future regarding his participation in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh due to persistent elbow pain. According to sources reported by Geo News on Saturday, Hasan’s recovery is not progressing as hoped, making his involvement in the series unlikely.

Hasan Ali recently played County Cricket in England for Warwickshire, participating in three first-class matches and five T20s. However, his ongoing elbow issues have now necessitated comprehensive medical treatment.

In addition to his county commitments, Hasan was absent from several matches as he was involved with Pakistan’s T20 squad during the series against Ireland.

Pakistan is gearing up for a packed home season in 2024/25. The international fixtures will kick off with Bangladesh visiting for two Test matches, scheduled in Rawalpindi (21-25 August) and Karachi (30 August-3 September).

Following the Bangladesh series, England will tour Pakistan for three Test matches, with games set in Multan (7-11 October), Karachi (15-19 October), and Rawalpindi (24-28 October). The West Indies are also slated to visit, playing two Tests in Karachi (16-20 January) and Multan (24-28 January).

Moreover, New Zealand and South Africa will join Pakistan in an ODI tri-series in Multan from 8-14 February.

Apart from these home fixtures, the Pakistan men’s team has a busy touring schedule. They will visit Australia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa between 4 November and 7 January, playing a series of two Tests, nine ODIs, and nine T20Is.
