Australia Announces Squads for UK Tour Against Scotland and England

The Australian National Selection Panel (NSP) has unveiled the squads for the upcoming T20 International and One-Day International (ODI) series against Scotland and England. The tour, set to take place in the UK this September, will feature three T20 Internationals against Scotland and England, followed by five ODIs against England.

Mitchell Marsh will lead the T20 squad, featuring several promising talents alongside experienced players. Perth all-rounder Cooper Connolly has earned his first national team call-up after impressive performances in the Big Bash League (BBL), including a pivotal role in the BBL12 Final. Connolly, who captained the Australian under-19 side at the 2022 World Cup, is joined by new entrants Jake Fraser-McGurk, Spencer Johnson, Aaron Hardie, and Xavier Bartlett, who return to the squad following the last home series against the West Indies.

Veterans Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc will miss the T20 leg but are set to return for the ODI series. Notably, Pat Cummins will sit out the entire tour as part of a pre-planned load management strategy, while David Warner has retired from international cricket. Ashton Agar and Matthew Wade did not make the selection.
